About us

Cynthia Flaherty is the founder and director of Cherry on Top Productions. She is the proud mother of four children, loving wife of Keith -37 years ! - and thrilled new Nana of three darling grand-babies. Cynthia is the also the director of a performing arts program for home schooled children in the Sacramento area, the director of Jubilate Civitus Choir, and the choir director at three local churches. She has produced and directed over 160 plays in the past 30 years and looks forward to many more productions!!

Angie Hanson

Kelsey (on left) has been charming audiences for many years under the direction of Cynthia Flaherty. She brings such sensitivity and energy to her characters and is amazing to watch. She is currently playing Veta in "Harvey" and is simply hilarious!

Melissa Coulter

Melissa has never met a part she couldn't conquer!! She gets inside a character and creates something so special and unique ... and always surprising!! No matter how small or how big the part she has, Melissa is always a very special addition to every play she is in!! She also exemplifies what it means to be a "cast member" as she is always supportive and encouraging of everybody. Melissa is a joy and Cherry on Top Theater would not be the same without her.
Melissa is currently playing Madame Gaffney in "Harvey".
